Dragonball 2CL: 2 Centuries Later - Written by T. Stewart (phelan_d@sbcglobal.net) Chapter 5 Siro slowly stood up and looked at his surroundings, small unopened spaces were all around him. Pieces of plastic and un-constructed parts littered the whole of the building. Tools covered the ground sparsely here and there, the ground was half-tiled and pieces sticking up out of the ground other pieces thrown all around. Siro leaped to his side inside one of the unfinished stores and ducked down lowering his power as he did so. Maybe what they said was true, maybe that race's blood had managed to manifest itself in this one even now after all this time. Siro grit his teeth, he would rest for a moment then he would release his full power on the dirt blood. Even though he wasn't sure his blood was as dirty as he at once thought. Kile landed in the building his white aura still burning around his body. The dark building was lit by the light from his power as he walked forward feeling for his opponents power. Suddenly the light dimmed and Kile's aura left him. He looked around the building, if Siro had lowered his power this much then it would take him a while to power back up to fighting strength. Kile walked forward feeling the entire store for anything any life. Like a great blanket he went through each space through every hall looking and looking on. His eyes shot wide open he could feel something, a life, a human. He concentrated on it and blasted forward speeding past the soon to be stores in a high-speed blur. He stopped and turned into a store, the life was behind a large desk Kile's whole being was concentrated on it. He slowly pulled back his fist and smashed it through the desk. He brought the desk high above his head ready to bring it down on his enemy when he saw the life. An old bum sat quivering in the shadows watching his would be killer hold a desk above his head. Kile cursed himself, all his concentration was on the old man and that left him open for attac... Kile curled as Siro's leg landed a blow in his ribs cracking them in several places. Kile grunted as he hit the hard wall and the desk broke off his arm in his face into a hundred pieces all over the ground. " YOU FOOL!!! I HAVE YOU NOW!!!" Siro brought his leg back to his chest and kicked forward in Kile's chest sending him through not only the first wall, but another exploding into a wide hallway bricks and unpainted concrete flying out. Kile hit the un-tiled ground and scraped across it's unforgiving surface leaving a trail of blood in it's wake. Kile stood looking at his bloody arm and tried to move it. The pain stabbed at him like knives as his arm tried and failed to respond. " Great," he thought, " never broken a thing and now when I need it, snap," he balled his good hand into a fist and looked up at the slowly approaching Siro. He stepped through the second hole and out onto the cluttered ground. Kile knew he was in bad shape, but Siro didn't look any better. His black clothes were torn from his neck to his waist revealing a highly muscular upper body. His pants were littered with holes and tears showing bloodied knees and thighs. Siro laughed as he gazed at Kile's bloody arm, " you expect to defeat me with but one arm," he leaned back and laughed a great evil laugh, " give it up dammit, you can't go on for much longer." Kile smiled at this, " he-he from the looks of it you won't be able to keep it up either." Siro grit his teeth and snarled he charged Kile and let loose his greatest flurry of punches and kicks he could. Kile's white aura exploded around him and he blocked using his arm and legs, trying to counter each blow. They punched and kicked on and on their punches turning into a blur of movements impossible to follow with the normal eye. Kile's fire enveloped them both as he fended off Siro's attack grunting and growling with effort. Siro was doing the same, his eyes wide in amazement at the fighters strength. He was doing the impossible, only one arm and he was fending him off. Siro suddenly powered up and a white and blue aura surrounded his body countering his opponents power. Kile fell on full defensive as the warrior now was finding holes in Kile's defense that he didn't even know existed. The would be mall was a mess, construction equipment flew everywhere crashing into walls a! nd cutting through support pillars. Un-glued tiles flew everywhere like deadly bullets every which way the two fighter's powers tossing everything into everything else. Suddenly Siro found a great gaping hole and plunged a fist into it. Kile's already broken ribs crumbled even more as Siro landed the blow. Blood spat out of his mouth all over Siro's face as he doubled over in pain. Siro stood over him smiling through his mask blood soaking into it's thin covering, " You should have come with me when you had the chance dirt blood," he grabbed Kile by the hair and pulled him off the ground. Kile growled in pain as his hair was pulled from it's scalp. Siro looked over Kile with a curious face, " I'd never thought I'd see one of your kind much less defeat you. I guess I just proved we don't need the help of a tired old group of almost aliens. Kile slapped Siro's hand away much to Siro's surprise, and in the same motion brought his fist back. " Siro, just kiss my ass huh," kile punched forward with every ounce of strength he had. The fist buried itself into Siro's chest and Siro could feel his sternum crunching under the force. Siro darted back through the great archway of the store and into a bronze statue of dolphins playing in water, what would have been a fountain. The statue burst into millions of pieces cutting deep gashed all through Siro's body and tearing his mask from his face. For the first time Kile saw Siro's face. He had unruly sweaty blonde hair and piercing steel gray eyes. His face was hard like it had been cut out of stone and the expression of hatred and contempt ran straight to Kile's soul. Then down his face he saw the jagged scar going through his eye. The sign of the Shatzo no doubt. Veins popped from Siro's face as he stared at Kile, every part of his being wanted to rip him to pieces. Limb by limb, then just watch him lay and die a bloody mess. " ENOUGH!!!!" Siro put both hands in front of him squeezing his already crushed chest. " IF IT KILLS ME YOU WON'T LEAVE THIS BATTLE GROUND ALIVE!!!!!!!!" suddenly Siro began to gather all the power he could bear even dipping into the reserves that were his very life force. " Oh... no," Kile simply said as he watched the crazed fighter gather more and more energy. Suddenly he was jolted back to reality, he knew what he needed to do. He brought up his good arm and began to collect his lavender energy. " IF THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT THEN COME AND GET IT!!!!!" Kile began charging up everything he had left leaving nothing else, this was going to be it, for him at least. Siro's energy exploded in his trade mark blue and white fire all around him blasting away the debris, the pillars and the very walls around him. " KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!" he screamed raising his power to an even higher bar of strength. Kile started growling louder and louder as he watched his opponent's power. " SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!" Kile screamed holding his good arm in front of him forcing more and more of his energy reserves to pile into the energy. Siro's hair whipped around as his power filled the air whisking it all around. His tattered clothes flipped and flapped as well wind blowing all around him. " YAAAAAAAA!!!!!" Siro shouted just adding more and more energy to his now powerful beam. Kile didn't know, he just didn't know, he'd never been in a battle of ki's before, " guess I gotta start somewhere," he thought, " and might as well be when my life is on the line. " RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!" on and on the pain was growing along with the power and strength. Kile could feel his arm and all his open cuts, bruises, and broken anything burning like no other, but then he heard it and he felt it. " MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" Siro let loose his blue and white spiraling blast. As it zoomed past the walls of the mall it blew them apart blasting the whole building into nothingness. Kile charged a few more seconds as the beam approached him and at the last second... " HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" Kile fired at the incoming blast and as his beam released from his hands everything behind him blew apart spewing every imaginable item of construction piece and equipment every where. Pillars split apart and blew away into nothingness crumbling down. At last the two beams finally met and the resulting explosion rocked the structure to it's core. Stairways and un-moving escalators crashed down to the ground in incredible shows of destruction. Any piece of glass shattered and flew out into the sky, the floor of the building beneath where the two blasts met was nothing more than a crater. Kile grit his teeth savagely putting his all and more into the beam which streamed from his hand. His body felt like it was on fire every bone and tendon in hi screamed at him to stop, to give in, but on he went. Siro was doing no better his crushed chest felt as if a hundred anvils were laying right atop of him, veins potruded from his body at nearly every possible place imaginable. He screamed in pain and agony his body felt like it would rip apart at any second, but on he went. He decided to give it even more. " KEEP UP WITH THIS BASTARD!!!" he blasted another wave out of his hands which rode up the first and into the Kile's purple Siriah. Kile's feet skidded into the earth bringing up the cement and concrete underneath them. " THIS IS NOT THE END FOR ME!!!!!!!" Kile blasted forth another wave of his own and it flew into Siro's. This second meeting was too much for the building to handle and with it's dying breath it blew apart completely exposing both fighters to the early morning sun. The ground around them broke off and flew into the air, every part of the would be mall spread into the sky or shot into the nearby buildings and road. Buildings around them flew apart as the shock wave from the blasts shot out in all directions. Everything around them was a scene of destruction the nearby park, which was once rich and green, was now dead, trees ripped from the ground, grass flattened over and turned brown from the force of the explosion. The roads next to them were crumpled up and blown apart stop lights, signs, cars, sidewalks all were decimated, thrown to the side, completely gone. Kile screamed as he poured his entire soul into this one blast, he had to give it one more try one more wave, if he was gonna go it wasn't gonna be without a fight. " HERE IT COMES SIRO HOPE YOU'RE READY...yyyyyyYYYYYHHHHAAAAA!!!!!" Kile fired one last burst at Siro. Siro's beam slowly was starting to back of, it was starting to receed. Siro had nothing left he wouldn't be able to counter this second burst by Kile. The incoming beam forced Siro on one knee trying for more traction to delay the inevitable. The beam was closing and Kile was pushing more and more, nearly there. Siro's face was that of pure and absolute panic, never had he'd fought someone so strong as this one before, never had he looked death in the eye as he did so now. Siro let out an inaudible scream as the beam slowly overtook him. Suddenly Kile felt a power unlike any he had before, he looked up and saw an orange beam heading for the middle of their beams. It struck causing yet another explosion and creating a crater deeper than any Kile had ever seen before. The shock from the beam sent Kile flying back into the air dissipating the beam that would have defeated Siro. Kile fell back into the now dead park into the hard grassless ground. " What now, I-I really can't go on any farther," Kile thought. He painfully pushed himself up with his good arm too look at what was happening. His breaths were quick and shallow and he could feel his broken ribs pressing into his lungs. Kile's body was a mess and he needed a hospital quick. A group of what he felt to be way stronger fighters than those two landed on the ground. One grabbed Siro's body and took off faster than Kile thought possible as did all, but one. He walked toward Kile who was giving his newly arrived enemy his most menacing look. " If I'm gonna die I might as well try and look mean," he thought. " You here to kill me big guy," Kile said slowly trying to get up onto his knees, " I'm not going without a fight," he said now on his feet standing as proudly as he could. " Of course, of course," spoke the Shatzo, " you have the spirit of a true fighter, and had I not interfered you would have beaten one of our most promising warriors. And even though you've shamed the Shatzo clan this time, you're still one of our main targets as are you family, and we will have our revenge." Kile clenched my fist at these words. " If anything happens to my family I swear to god I'l-." Suddenly the Shatzo waved his hand and Kile flew back to the ground knocking the wind from his lungs. " You'll do what, the only reason you live now is because I allow it, you have gained the respect of my clan so you will not be killed here, but at the same time you have shamed us all so you will be killed in front of millions at the Tenkaichi Boudokai," the Shatzo slowly backed away, " this is my decree." An orange flame surrounded his body and he blasted high into the sky dissappearing out of sight. Kile let out a short painful sigh, and as his vision faded into blackness he heard the wales of emergency sirens. Leazza stood in the room which had been her home for the last three weeks, she couldn't go back now, it was better for them to think her dead than having deserted. But if she eventually killed her target and at the same time learn the fighting style of the clans greatest enemies, it might warrant a return to the clan. Even better, if she killed Hunong that would definitely make up for her absence. Traing with the enemy, that might just be too much for the council to handle. There was another problem, Siro. If the clan thought she'd died then he'd definitely would be going out looking for revenge. Her secret lover had always been more protective of her than she'd like. Ever since they were children, he'd always been looking out for her. He'd kill her target before she could, there was no way, her target, Kile, would be able to survive an attack by Siro. Kile, something was bugging her in the back of her mind about him, she didn't believe in killing with no rhyme or reason. And there didn't seem to be any feasible reason for him to be targeted, that wasn't it though, he seemed dangerous almost, like he could ruin her. Maybe the clan had felt this as well. She flopped back down on her bed and crossed her legs Indian style on top of it. To be the only female in the warrior class of her clan would have been the greatest achievment of her life and she would obtain it. She knew what she had to do. She would continue training with the old man and then kill her target, train some more and kill the old man. She would become a warrior bring glory to her family and be there when her clan arose out of the shadows into the fore front of society. The training day had ended and Hunong was taking it easy as the night slowly came upon them both. She was a promising if not evil rooted student. The Shatzo and cults like it often had an incredibly strong hold on it's members, almost irreversible. Hopefully he would be able to turn her before she went out looking for a fight with his pupil. Hunong nearly gave a sigh of relief as he thought about the boys confrontation with another Shatzo. He'd been in deep meditation when he sensed Kile's pain. He'd been in battle for nearly thirty minutes straight against a very strong, young Shatzo warrior. Near the end of the fight he didn't think his pupil would be able to pull it out, but to his surprise Kile had survived his very first battle of ki beams. Hunong cursed himself as he though of this, he knew he'd forgotten something, but Kile always the resilient one had survived. The kid was just full of surprises. He'd contacted Corron from right below Kami's look-out tower and asked if he'd get Kile some Senzu beans. Kile had taken quite a beating from what Hunong had sensed. With what had just happened it seemed Kile would need all the time and training he could get for this next Tenkaichi Boudokai. But if Kile used the same method used by the Saiyans of old he would most likely be able to pull it out. He remembered studying with master Roshi and how the old hermit had spoken so much at the unbelievable power of these super warriors. " Yup those boys were really somethin'," he'd say as he turned to page of his many dirty mags, "In-cr-ed-di-ble, yup survived all typed of crazy stuff, exploding planets, robots, demons. Heh, if anybody showed up they'd give 'em the one two, boom." Roshi punched in his hand sending his magazines flying in the air. Roshi sat back in his chair looking into the air, " even though those were some crazy years when they were around, with all 'em weirdo badguys," Roshi sighed heavily, " I never felt more safe than when they were around." Hunong smiled, crazy times often led to powerful fighters, he thought to himself. From what he'd learned of the Saiyans, they were a very powerful race and Kile was a direct descendant of a prince. Then there was another bloodline of Saiyans born from the super Saiyan of legend. That family hadn't been at the last three Tenkaichi Boudokai from what Hunong could tell, and he was hoping to see them at the upcoming one. He raised his hand and pushed his power out of his finger. The blue laser-like beam shot from his finger into his fire place igniting a roaring fire. Kneeling down on his knees he closed his eyes and went deep into his meditation. He could feel it, could feel it coming, something distant, like a forgotten dream. He pushed it from his mind. He wouldn't be able to reach his full meditation with such things on his mind. The fire bounced and flowed, sending the shadows of the room in a rhythmic dance, as Hunong knelt in the middle of it all. The sky was golden and purple as the sun slowly crept beneath the it. The clouds were long and puffy dotting and streaking across the eternity which was the horizon. The ocean beneath reflected the setting sun's rays gleaming and shining in the golden light. The ocean was calm waves rippling and lapping up and down, sometimes increasing in pace as a slight wind grazed it's surface. Suddenly the calm was destroyed as a figure, quicker than the human eye hovered over the water splashing up water as it did so. And faster than a blink it shot back up into the sky, and once again all was calm. Suddenly another, larger, being dove into the ocean sending up a giant plume of salty ocean water. The surface was broken and trembling filled with newly disturbed suds. Slowly a young boy flew down and stood on the water, both his feet square on the deep blue ocean. He slowly rose and fell as the ocean's waves rolled on and on. The boy couldn't have been more than twelve, he was on the skinnier side and had wild black hair which came into the middle of his back. His surprisingly developed muscles squeezed together as he crossed his arms. He wore a short sleeved dark blue shirt, and over that he wore a bright orange vest and matching orange pants. On the vest there was a symbol, the mark of one who had been trained by Kamesennin, or the great master Roshi. The boy kicked at the water impatiently, " come on Gojin I know you're down there, I didn't hit you THAT hard." The boy's voice was shrill and high in adolescence. " It's almost dinner time Gojin let's go," the boy looked into the water as he stood on it trying to see through to it's depths. " GO...jin," Suddenly the water began to glow in a bright blue light. Every muscle in the boy's body tensed as his senses told him to run and escape, he felt the power quickly rising up to the water's surface. The boy shot up into the air causing water to blast into all directions as he took off. Suddenly the water rose up higher and higher, the blue glow shining from beneath it's surface. It was nearly ten feet above the ocean when suddenly, like a newly formed blister, exploded into the air releasing a sapphire beam into the air. The beam singed the boy's hair and he dodged to the side, with but a moment to spare. All of a sudden a young man shot out of the ocean water spraying and splashing out in a wide circle. His hair was short and shot out in deadly looking spikes in all directions. " Come on squirt, that one barely missed you. You've gotta be quicker than that." Gojin was nearly six feet, lean and muscular, his face was smooth, but masculine and defined. He wore a bigger version of the younger fighter's gi, and it carried the same symbol on the front and the back. The turtle symbol. Gojin soared into the setting sky high into the clouds after his younger sibling. Gojin, with a smile on his face, let his power blast around his body and swallow him in an azure fire. His speed more than tripled and he shot out at his younger brother. The boy's black hair shot in front of his face as his brother blasted in front of him. The boy stopped in mid flight staring at his older brother. " When'd you learn how to do THAT!!!" the boy exclaimed still hovering in the sky. Gojin smiled and powered up again firing his energy to even greater heights of power. He was about to attack when... " Gojin, Gosann time for dinner!" They looked down to see their mother calling down to them Gojin sighed and the blue fire dispersed from his body floating away and disappearing into the air. Gosann slowly began to float downwards. " Okay mom," he said sadly as his feet came closer and closer to the ground of the small island. Then out of the door another man rolled out in a wheelchair. " Hurry up guys, it's steak tonight," the man looked up at Gojin. " Hey son I felt that power up, you're stronger than I was when I was your age," the man crossed his incredibly muscular arms making him look like a body builder. Gojin's feet tapped the ground of the small beach and a wave came in washing up his ankle, " O' course I am old man," he said with a smile on his face. " Oh really, don't let this little chair give you a big head, I could still give you quite a punch," Gojin's dad said. " I know dad I know." " What are you looking at Master Roshi," Gosann was now peering over the old man's shoulder trying to sneak a peak at the mags. The old hermit laid the magazines down on his lap. Even the old man's enormous sun glasses couldn't conceal the canyon like wrinkles all across his face, his bald head shined brilliantly as the setting sun beamed off the top of it. A heavy white mustaches covered most of his mouth as he spoke. " Sorry kiddo when you're a little older maybe," Roshi said giving Gosann a little wink. " Over my dead body," Gosann's mother said as she snatched the books from Roshi's grasp. " Hey g-g-give those back... no DOOOOONNN'T" he pleaded as the books flew in to the air and landed into the ocean splashing and floating at first, then sinking to the bottom. " That was the last of my stash," Roshi screamed as he jetted out of his chair and splashing into the deep blue ocean. Gohan wheeled toward his wife, " Jenna, was that really necessary I mean..." " Yes! Those things are degrading to women everywhere and anyone who owns any should burn them right then and there." " Y-y-yeah r-right," Gohan said reminding himself to find a new hiding place for his stash. " Well come on let's get to dinner," Jenna said turning towards the house. Gojin and Gosann were already at the table waiting for dinner. Their mother scoffed, " Do I look like a maid, Gojin come set the plates, Gosann set the table, Gohan wipe the counter please. Oh, and Master Roshi." The old man had just walked in the house dripping wet holding some equally wet piles of papers, and was in the process of walking back out to escape the chores when Jenna had caught him. " Just for trying to sneak off, you've got dishes." " Aaaahhhhh," Roshi sighed, " She's just as bad a Chi-chi." " I told you to stop comparing me to her!!!" " WWWAAAAAAHHHH!!!", Roshi flew backwards as a heavy pot slammed into his face. Gohan and his sons were howling in laughter stopping what they were doing to watch the two mortal enemies engage in combat. The group sat semi-peacefully as the Gohan, Gojin, and Gosann wolfed down their plates, Jenna and Roshi watching in semi-annoyance. " Ya know you guys really remind me of..." " Stop right there!" Jenna exclaimed holding her hand up, " If I hear another word about Goku and his eating habits I swear." Jenna placed her fork down on her plate and rose from the table, " You really need to stop living in the past old man. That was what, two-hundred years ago. Get some new stories. Get a nice old lady. And get a life. I'm gonna go check my stocks." Jenna stormed out of the room and up the stairs. Roshi slumped in his chair. " And don't forget those dishes mister!" Roshi slumped even farther. " I don't know how much more I can take...WWHOOAA!!!" Roshi fell out of the chair right onto his tailbone, " And why can't we just kneel on the floor like everyone else in Japan!!!" Gosann knelt under the table to look at Roshi, " Master, why do you talk about those guys so much." Roshi sat back into his chair trying to get used to it's hard wooden surface. His brow wrinkled as he thought about the question, " I guess it's because, well..." his deep wrinkles covered his entire forehead, " Well, because he...he just left ya know, one minute he was there, right there. The next minute, he was, just gone," the old man's solemn face suddenly turned into a forced smile. " And if you think I took it hard you should have seen Vegeta. Everybody though that guy hated Goku's guts, but if you really think about it. Goku was Vegeta's first true friend. I know that sounds corny, but he just had that effect on people. He was the type of guy that turned evil crazies into family men," Roshi leaned back in his chair, " yeah he was a really beautiful person that guy." Roshi looked around the room was totally empty except for a sniffling Gosann. " That-that's s-s-so sad -sniff- ya know somethin' -sniff- that would make a really great movie." Gojin sat on the tiny beach of Kame island watching as the sun finally finished it's descent into the ocean, Gohan arrived pushing his wheelchair next to his son. " Excited son?" Gohan asked looking at the slowly appearing stars. Gojin answered without turning his head, " you kiddin' I've been waiting for this for years." Gohan sighed, " I wish I could fight with you." Gojin turned to his father, " Dad why don't you. All you've have to do is fly and use your Ki to manipulate your legs, you could fight." " Yeah right. I'm not strong enough to keep up flight for three days straight," Gohan looked up at his son, " I don't need to fight anyways, I'll be right down there with you son." Gojin smiled as he placed his hand on his father's shoulder, " thanks dad." A long easy silence followed as they turned their vision from the sun to the stars. " The Briefs are gonna be there this year, I can feel it," Gojin said. " What makes you so sure?" " Remember two days ago when we felt those powers goin' at it." " Yeah, but that could've been anybody." Gojin lowered to his knees and then fell on his back, hands behind his head, " It's him no doubt, and I'm gonna beat him, you watch." Gohan looked at his son remembering times where he felt the same feelings. The feelings of competition, waiting for the next challenge, looking for those who were stronger and facing them in friendly combat. He smiled, " just a family man now," he thought to himself, " Wouldn't change a thing." " Yeah son I know you'll beat him, and I'll be watching."
