Dragonball 2CL: 2 Centuries Later - Written by T. Stewart (phelan_d@sbcglobal.net) Chapter 2 Kile- Hunong's eyes pierced through me like daggers. The power I could feel coursing through my body was incredible, I could feel my muscles ebbing with power like I'd never experienced. Through all of this painful training I had reached a point that I couldn't describe. Days upon months of endless training and now I'd be able to prove myself. I swept a few strands of hair from in front of my face and readied myself. Inhaling deeply I dug my foot into the ground for added traction and tensed my legs ready to pounce at any time. I slowly ran my tongue over my lips and took a few more deep breaths. I exploded into the air blasting all the ground beneath me into burnt nothing. I could sense Hunong speed from his first position and prepared myself for a surprise attack. It came in the form of Hunong bluring in front of me and swinging with a runaway punch. I dodged to my right and pulled my leg back for a split second, then with all of my force I sent it crashing into Hunong's awaiting stomach. Hunong zipped backwards about twenty feet holding his midsection with one arm while the other was prepared for an attack; I rushed toward Hunong with my fists wrapped together high above my head. Hunong hung in the air slowly releasing his pain stricken stomach. He grit his teeth together menacingly and faster than a bullet charged toward me shoving his knee deep into my stomach. Saliva flew out of my mouth as I retched forward Hunong brought his fist back punched me in the face sending me flying back to the earth. Before I even passed the treetops Hunong grabbed my leg with a vi! ce-like hold. I looked up still reeling from his steel fist and realized I was being spun around. I felt Hunong's grip release sending flying down to the ground at breakneck speeds. I crashed through a great tree, limbs and planks of wood flew in all directions as I rocketed through the giant tree and finally dirt sand and all other types of undergrowth exploded into the air as I made contact with the ground. I lay there in a daze hoping the runaway train in my head would stop crashing into my brain I quickly remembered my predicament and despite the pain in my head jumped back up. I sensed for Hunong and realized he was back on the ground, but where. My back arced backwards with sickening speed as I felt something dig itself into my spine. I jumped forward then turned around to see Hunong charging toward me. I punched at him in retaliation and he jumped to the side avoiding it. He swept his leg into the back of my ankle sending me into the air. He then hopped into the air and knee first came down upon my helpless body. It hit the ground with my weight and Hunong's and it felt like a ton. I grit my teeth and gave hunong a good hook in the face sending him stumbling off me I somersaulted upwards and came down with a hell of a kick into Hunong's face. It had twisted real good when I landed onto the ground, Hunong was still reeling when I spun around and smashed my fist across his ! face. My hand throbbed with pain when the collision was over, it felt like I'd hit a brick wall. Hunong balled his fist and thrust the side of his hand into my ribs. I could have screamed from the pain as I flew backwards over the forest's ground. I held my sides and realized that my ribs had been either bruised, sprained, or even broken from the attack. Suddenly Hunong blurred out of my vision leaving me wondering where the hell he was. I was gonna learn that move one of these days. I jumped as I sensed his energy directly behind me and I flipped forward barely avoiding a roundhouse kick. I twisted around in mid flip and when my foot touched the ground I darted toward Hunong, right before my face was about to collide with his I performed an upwards twisting forward flip grasping his shoulders I came down with my legs infront of me ready to shove them into his back. Right before my legs were about to crush his back he brought up his right fist and backhanded me in the jaw. I released his shoulders and flew backwards nursing my busted lip and bruised jaw. Hunong turned around his arms were now placed behind his back. " Dammit I can do better than this," I whispered to myself. I returned to my fighting stance ready to try again. " YAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I lunged toward Hunong with all of my power he too returned to his fighting stance. I brought my fist down ready to smash it into his face. Hunong slapped it away like a toy ragdoll. He then attempted a kick at my stomach, which I blocked by bringing my knee up into his foot. I quickly jabbed Hunong in the stomach then I punched him in his jaw twisting his head back. I raised my leg square with his chest and lashed out right into his sternum. Hunong shoved me back into a nearby tree gripping his chest in pain. I jumped off the tree and flipping straight towards Hunong, extending my legs at the end of my revolution and shoved my feet into his already injured chest. Hunong flew back crashing into the ground and skidding right into a giant tree trunk splitting the great plant up it's middle. Hunong blurred away once more leaving me to try and sense his power out. Suddenly the tree Hunong had just crashed into uprooted from the ground and was now soaring straight at me. I jumped to the side and the tree ripped my shirt as it wizzed past me. It crashed into a tree blasting debris in all directions. Blood seeped from the wound where the tree had hit me, I gripped my arm blood running all over my hand and down my injured limb. Hunong blurred to my left, flying foot first at me. Crap! Hunong's foot felt like a ton of bricks as it collided with my jaw. " AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!" I screamed with pain as I felt my jaw snap from the impact. I stumbled backwards holding my mouth hoping it hadn't broken in two. Hunong dashed toward me and swung his elbow smack into my cheek. I leaped backwards as fast as I could holding my now bleeding nose and mouth with both hands. Hunong was running toward me once again Dammit this guy never stopped. I grit my bloody teeth and as fast as my legs could carry me rushed at my master. Our fists met in an earth shaking collision as we began another exchange. I grabbed the back of Hunong's neck squeezing it as hard as I could. I smashed my forehead with his sending him in a daze stumbling backwards, I then rushed at him my shoulder leading the way and blasted him with all the might and momentum I could get into it. Hunong fell to the ground and I was upon him. I kicked the bottom of his neck like a soccer ball sending him skidding and flipping all across the ground. Moving as fast as I could I passed up Hunong's skidding body stopping behind him. I grabbed him by the back of his neck once more and swung him over my head holding him in the air for a moment, then will everything I had I brought him crashing back down to the ground. Pillars of dust and debris exploded from the impact zone and I jumped back waiting for the dust to clear. My breath was ragged and short, my face was pouring with sweat, and from the pain my body was giving me I didn't think I could throw another punch. God I hope he was down after this mess clears. I peered further into the dust cloud waiting for a sign of anything. Crap come on. Finally I saw a shadowy figure standing in the cloud. Hunong stood like a great statue his clothes torn, his hair tossled, and his arms placed firmly behind his back. I could have shrieked with anger, there was no stopping this man. Suddenly with a frightening calm Hunong placed the bottom of his palms together directly in front of himself. " SIIIIIIII!!!" he began bellowing, I stood frozen in place not having a clue as to what he was doing. " RIIIIIIII!!!" I was starting to get freaked out. I charged Hunong hoping to stop whatever the Hell he was doing, I would soon learn that was a bad idea. " HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" I violet beam blasted from his palms like lighting and made the loudest noise I'd ever heard freezing me with a pain in my ears which, I'd never dreamed of. I couldn't make a move as I watched the beam come closer and closer and finally it hit. I truly can't describe the pain of such an attack it's like pressing your chest against a hot stove and leaving it there letting the heat slowly burn away your flesh. The beam arched upward carrying me into the air along with it. I could still hear the searing noise coming from it and my vision was beginning to grow dark and dull. Finally the ear shattering noise ceased and the pain though still great had subsided. The beam had stopped. I hung in the air for a few seconds then began plummeting back towards the forest. I blacked out. My head was swimming as my sight returned, God it felt like someone was stabbing my head. I slowly turned inspecting my surroundings. It was dusk and the shadows were at there longest oh my head was killing me. I slowly tried to rise from the ground pushing myself up with my arms. I searched for my master trying to sense out his strong power. Crap! He was back out the house, looks like I'm gonna be walking home. I rose from the ground my head protesting all the way up. My legs wobbled a bit and I slowly took a tentative step into the direction of the small cottage. My energy was exhausted so I didn't have a hope of flying. My chest felt like a awful sunburn, I looked at my training outfit and realized there was a giant hole in it. Well this shirt was no good. I looked up the never ending mountain, why'd he put his house on the very top of the mountain. I stumbled through the door bruised and bloody and wanting this bitch of a day to be over. " You're back, it took you longer than I expected," Hunong was sitting on a rug on the floor his eyes closed and his arms placed on his lap, " go wash yourself up you need it." I raised my armpits and sniffed. Eeew! No kidding. I headed towards the small tub that was in the cottage and cleaned up. I walked by Hunong still meditating and back into my room. I sighed deeply, " man, still got a ways to go I guess." Let me tell you my pride had been more beat up than my body ever could have been, " I'll get him next time, " I said to myself. My final couple of months went by. Training though still no walk in the park was a lot easier. I learned the blurring technique, which is known as the Zanzoken a handy move to say the least. I was still trying to figure out how to perform the move Hunong used on me in that first fight. The Siriha, one bad ass move. It's a beam technique, it harnesses your very life force practically draining your power. Sounds simple, but it's something more than that. It's like you have to use something inside of you, something that triggers the blast. I can't explain it, really. " Come on, do it!" Hunong stood next to me as I tried to perform the Siriha wave. I had powered up to the highest energy I could possibly have achieved, this was my last week here and I had to get this move right. " You must look inside of yourself find your power you can do this!" Hunong pushed me forward with his words, I couldn't disappoint my master, I was only the second student he'd attempted to teach this to and I had to get this right. The bottom of my hands were placed firmly together and were outstretched infront of me as far as I could, like Hunong had shown me. I didn't know why Hunong had chosen me to learn this move. He'd had hundreds of students and only two he'd even shown the move. Who was I, just a rich kid who wanted to learn Karate. How many of his students had craved for this chance, how many had wished and wished and wished to be shown. But went home with nothing. I raised my power level even higher than I thought could be possible. My hair was flying around in every direction from the wind my power was creating. The grass underneath me for a twenty foot circle had been flattened straight on the ground. Trees around me swayed back and forth as my power blasted out and out further and further. Alright I was ready, it was now or never. " SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!" I pushed my power level even higher, but nothing but a lot of wind was happening. I must be doing something wrong, no raising my power level wasn't it, I had to find a way, someway. " RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!" I couldn't fail I'd come to far to fail now, to far. I had to succeed, I had to do it, I can't fail, for all those who didn't have the chance, for all those who deserved it more than I. This was for all of them those students that should've been taught. Suddenly I felt something. Almost a bubbling inside myself, this is it I could feel it, I could feel the power, now is the time I was ready. " HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" A purple beam blasted out of my hands like a lightning bolt. The beam was spinning around flying over the treetops burning the upper canopy as it past over the forest. And the sound was still deafening, Hunong had told me this was part of the attack to stun the enemy with it's noise, just as it had done with me. Finally the beam had ended and I watched as the last of it flew out of sight. I was spent I had no power left to do anything. I fell to my knees gasping for breath. My body stung all over and it seemed like I couldn't get any energy to my limbs. " Very good, with that you have completed my training. I have nothing left to teach you," Hunong slowly made his way back to the cottage which happened to be nearby. I looked down at the grass in total puzzlement. No way how could this be, surely there was more he could show more that I could learn from him. " I will contact your parents to retrieve you, by next sunset you will be back home," Hunong walked through the door and slowly closed the it behind him. I sat back and crossed my legs, time to go home I guess. I slowly stood up and headed to the door on wobbly legs. I reached for the door handle, but something held me back. I couldn't, it couldn't end. I grit my teeth and opened the latch, as I walked in Hunong was holding a small box. " Only you and another have ever worn this, here," I grabbed the box from Hunong's hand. I slowly pulled the top of the box off and saw a folded uniform. " Go put it on," Hunong pointed me towards my room. I stepped through the room and into mine. I tried to hide that smile that was creeping on my face. It was a sleeveless white shirt and baggy blue silk pants. On the front of the shirt on the left side was Hunong's symbol, it was a crooked cross with three lines going perpendicular to the cross. I could have sworn I saw the corner of Hunong's mouth lift in a smile. " Good, now take it off I don't want you to get it dirty until the tournament," Hunong turned around moving towards his room. " What tournament? What are you talking about?" I looked at the back of his head baffled. " The Tenkaichi Boudakai. (Worlds tournament for you dubbies) It's a tournament to see who the strongest fighter in the world is. You'll be representing this school there," I walked forward and turned around to face Hunong directly. " My parents will never let me enter any tournament!" I exclaimed. Hunong hushed me with his hand, " you must enter the tournament. I have known you for over two years, I've seen your thirst for competition. If you didn't enter this tournament you would regret it for three years you must understand that," Hunong flicked at a small candle igniting it with his energy. I sighed, " I know how important this is to you, but now I have a life to really live, a company to inherit. I've gotta... I-I just have to grow up I guess." Hunong placed the candle down and picked up another one lighting it, " Well," Hunong turned to face me, " I know little of your world and what may happen in it... What I do know is that you have a power deep within you. I'd felt it since the day I met you, and all through your training you have exceeded my expectations time and time again. I'll be damned if your strength is wasted sitting behind some desk writing papers for the rest of your life. We both know that is not what you want." I swallowed hard; God I can't tell you how much I don't want to get stuck in some room worrying if my stock was rising or falling. " I'll do everything I can to get into that tournament master," I slowly bowed my head then began to my room. " Kile," I turned around in amazement, Hunong never called me by my name, " you have been the best student I have ever had. I-...-I will miss you," Hunong turned and went into his room leaving me in complete bewilderment.
