Android 16

Android 16 is Dr. Gero's ultimate weapon to destroy Gokou. He was designed only for that purpose and knows Gokou's every single move. He is supposed to be evil, however, he was released from its capsule by Androids 17 & 18 before he was completed and he developed a sense of good. Later he helped the Z fighters fight Cell and even sacrificed himself in order for Gohan to become SSJ2.

Android 18

Android 18 started as a villain but later on, after Cell was destroyed and so were the other androids, she decides to be good and marries Kuririn. They have a daughter named Marron and she dedicates the rest of her life to helping the Z fighters. She's also Android 17's twin sister. Before Cell died, she was released from him due to a kick that Gohan delivered to Cell.

Bubbles

The fastest monkey in the cosmos, Bubbles' job is to train fighters in speed and endurance. He lives in Kaio-sama's planet at the end of Snake Way. He is often mistaken for Kaio-sama. He also eats bananas.

Bulma

Mother of Trunks and Bra, Bulma is one of the main characters of DragonBall. Over the series, Bulma has helped the z fighters by fixing some items and making some pretty advanced gadgets, after all, that's her specialty.

Chaozu

The devoted companion of Tenshinhan, Chaozu is a skilled warrior in his own right, but he's pretty worthless in battles. Emperor of a land called Miifan, he has also mastered a wide variety of fighting and mystical arts-he can teleport, hypnotize and even freeze an opponent in place with his powers.

Chi Chi

A beautiful princess whom Gokou saved when they were both young, Chi Chi has grown up to be Gokou's wife and mother of Gohan and Goten. A loving wife and a doting mother, she wants Gohan and Goten to become great scholars and not fighting punks.

Dai Kaio-sama

Also called Grand Kai. This is a higher ranked Kaio-sama that watches over all other normal Kaios (North, West, South, East). Dai Kaio-sama has unsurpassed speed and a "musical" sense of humor. Fighters around the universe wait millenniums for him to give them a special training. He's also greety and never admits that Gokou is stronger than him.

Dende

Dende is a young Namek that Kuririn and Gohan rescued on Planet Namek from Zaabon and Dodoria. He later becomes the new Kami-sama of Earth.

Elder Kaioshin

After fifteen generations of being trapped in the legendary Z sword, Elder Kaioshin was freed by Gohan in his training when he broke the sword. This elder version of the Kaioshin line possesses mystical abilities to awaken sleeping powers in people. He trains Gohan to reach his Mystic form and defeat Majin Buu. Also, this Kaioshin is a Roshi-like of person. 15 generations of being trapped made him a pervert. He dies to give life to Gokou and try to defeat Buu.

Emma Daiou

He is probably the most important person in the other world. His job is to admit people to heaven or to hell. He's also a mighty warrior in his own right; he was the only person to ever reach the end of Snake Way before Gokou. He's not afraid to fight if there's a good reason.

Son Gohan

Gokou and Chi Chi's first son, Gohan was named after Gokou's adoptive grandfather, Son Gohan. His power level increases with his emotions, that's why Gohan comes through for the others in tough situations. After the Cell Saga, Gohan takes on the role of the Great Saiyaman. Later on he marries Videl and trains her to help him fight.

Old Son Gohan

He was Gokou's adoptive grandfather. When Gohan found Gokou in the forest, Gokou was a bad boy and destroyed everything until one day he got hit on the head and forgot his mission. Since that day he has been the same old Gokou we all know. Gohan trained Gokou during his childhood. One night, Gokou turned Oozaru and accidentally stepped on Gohan and he died.

Son Gokou

Gokou is the hero of Dragon Ball Z: a peaceful, good nature, honest, trusting, protecting soul. He was the most powerful warrior of the universe and the first one to become a Super Saiya-jin. In the end of the series, Gokou absorbed all the Dragon Balls and disappeared with Shenlong. He was last seen by Pan in a Tenkaichi Budokai where Gokou Jr. and Vegeta Jr. were fighting. His whereabouts are unknown. Also known as Son Gokou or Gokou san.

Son Goten

Gokou and Chi Chi's second son. Goten has a strong resem

nce to Gokou. Since Gokou was so strong when he had him, Goten was born with an incredible amount of strength. He became reached the level of SSJ at the age of seven, making him the youngest SSJ ever. Unlike other SSJ's, Goten can turn into a SSJ with ease (he doesn't need anger or whatsoever...). He and Trunks are best friends and are always getting into trouble (thanks to Trunks, of course...).

Gotenks

The result of Goten and Trunks's fusion using the Fusion Dance. Gotenks is very powerful (even reaches SSJ3 level) but its too cocky and loses too much time in a battle. He's doesn't have the same personality as Goten or Trunks, its a whole new being with weird attacks and all...

Gregory

Gregory is Kaio-sama's second assistant. While not as strong as Bubbles, he is even faster and more devious. Once a fighter catches Bubbles, he has to hit Gregory with a hammer to increase his speed and endurance.

Gyuu Mao

Chi Chi's lovable father. Still a mighty warrior in his own right, he's a fitting father in law for Gokou. He's also the only one who can hope to defuse his daughter's formidable temper. He makes a few appearances throughout DBZ.

Kaio-sama (North)

North Kaio-sama is a short, pudgy guy with a bad joke vocabulary. He is the inventor of the famous Kaio-ken attack. He lives in a small planet at the end of Snake Way with Bubbles. Although his power level is low, his advice is worth a lot.

Kaio-sama (West)

Master of ego and trainer of Paikuhan, West Kaio-sama has always had a rivalry with North Kaio and enjoys insulting him, and challenging him. He thinks that his student is stronger that Gokou. Also, he practically respects no one, except people in higher rank than him.

Kaio-sama (South)

Like almost every Kaio, South Kaio-sama has a never-ending rivalry with North Kaio-sama. He is Papoi's master, which is overpowered by Gokou on the Anoyoichi Budoukai.

Kaio-sama (East)

Another arrogant Kaio. This one loves to race and challenge the other Kaios. She is very strict with her students and makes them pay if they make her look weak or embarrass her in front of other Kaios by losing a match.

Kaioshin

The supreme ruler of the universe. Kaioshin is in a higher rank than all Kaios mentioned and is the most powerful. He's the only survivor of the first confrontation with Buu when controlled by Bibidi. He's also amazed at the saiya-jins' powers.

Kame-sennin

A martial arts teacher and the creator of the Kamehameha wave, Kame-sennin is not to be taken lightly by other opponents. He trained Gokou and Kuririn back in DB. He lives on an island far away from civilization with his turtle, Umigame. He’s one of the most perverted perverts in Dragon Ball Z history and has the largest collection of XXX magazines. In the Tenkaichi Budokais, he takes on the role of the famous Jackie Chun. He is also known as Muten Roshi.

Kami-Sama

Kami-sama was the guardian of the Earth before Dende. He lived with Mr. Popo high above the Earth in Kami’s Lookout. He is also the creator of the Dragon Balls with Piccolo. He always offers to help the Z fighters in every way he can. He trains Gokou and the others at one time in the series.

Karin-Sama

A cat with a stick, Karin is a mystic arts master and the cultivator of the magic senzu beans that restore energy and health to those who eat them. He lives with Yajirobe in Karin tower below Kami-sama’s lookout.

Kibito

Loyal servant of Kaioshin, Kibito serves as bodyguard of the supreme ruler. He accompanies Kaishin in all of his missions and is very strong. However, he's easily defeated by Dabura but later on revived with the dragonballs.

Kuririn

Kuririn met Gokou at Kame-sennin’s island when they were starting to train. Since that day, Gokou and Kuririn have been the best of friends. Kuririn is also the strongest human fighter. He’s originally bald, but later on DBZ, Android #18 convinces him to let it grow. He appears throughout all the series but always gets his butt kicked when he tries to battle. Also known as Kulilin or Kurilin.

Lunch

A cute girl with a split personality problem, one moment she’s the good girl Lunch, then she’s the delinquent, money-stealing Lunch. The key to this change is when she sneezes. Money hungry and relatively amoral during her bad girl phase, Lunch is constantly hanging out with Tenshinhan trying to get him to do what she wants.

Marron (Girl Friend)

Marron is Kuririn's first girlfriend. It's only an add-on because she really didn't exist on the mangas, just n the Garlic Jr. saga and beginning of Android saga. She is kind of unfaithful because she has a lot of boyfriends and Kuririn lets her go because he thinks he's not good enough for her.

Marron

Controversial, but sweet, Kuririn and Android 18's daughter. Controversial because she's the daughter of an Android (something thought impossible). Marron was named after Kuririn's "first" girlfriend (which was an add-on). She's born a few years after Gohan defeats Cell.

Mr. Satan

The World Martial Arts Champion of planet Earth. Mr. Satan takes credit of defeating Cell, even though it was Gohan to accomplish that mission. He is the father of Videl, who later marries Gohan. Of course, Mr. Satan's greediness never dies and he refuses Videl's boyfriend.

Oolong

A cowardly, shape shifting pig who kidnapped the girls of some town in DB, he later joined Gokou and Bulma. He is mostly around Kame House and doesn't really do anything to help our heroes. He can only shape shift for 5 minutes, he didn't pass shape shifting school. When he changes, his power level stays the same.

Paikuhan

Paikuhan is West Kaio-sama's best student. He met Gokou after the Cell Game on the after life and faced him on the Anoyoichi Budoukai. He is incredibly powerful and proves to be a challenge for Gokou even in SSJ mode.

Pan

Pan is Gohan and Videl's daughter. She is born very strong and likes to fight. She plays a small roll in DBZ, but plays a big one on DBGT as helper on finding the Black Star DragonBalls all over the universe.

Piccolo

Piccolo has been Gokou's rival since he was born. He wanted to take over the world, but Gohan makes him good and pure-hearted. He is linked with Kami-sama so if he dies so does Kami-sama and vice-versa.

Porunga

Porunga is the original dragon and the most powerful. He's Namek's dragon and can grant you 3 wishes no matter if they are repeated. However, this dragon doesn't possess the ability to revive more than one person at a time.

Puar

Yamcha's small cat companion, he has been with Yamcha since DB. He can shapeshift like Oolong but unlike him, Puar can shapeshift as long as he wants. He hangs out in Kame house with Oolong and Kame-sennin when Yamcha is in battle.

Shenlong

Shenlong is Earth's eternal dragon. Shenlong only grants one wish to the person who collects all seven dragon balls. He is the key throughout all the dragon ball series to restore everything back to normal. Later on the series, Shelong is re-created by Dende (the new Kami-sama), and the dragon can grant a person 2 wishes. However, Earth's dragon can only grant a specific wish once.

Tenshinhan

The second strongest human, Tenshinhan is pretty muscular and spends most of his time training. With Lunch being always with him, he has always had good food and money. Chaozu always sticks with Tenshinhan to train with him. Tenshinhan gives credit to Gokou for inspiring him to reach the level of power he's in.

Trunks

Vegeta and Bulma's first son. There are two Trunks' in the series. Mirai Trunks and Chibi Trunks. Mirai Trunks comes from a distant future where horror and pain rules the world and everyone is dead. He wants to save Son Gokou from a deadly virus to see if he could make a difference in stopping the evil androids that were terrorizing his world. Chibi Trunks is born with Vegeta alive, he turned into a SSJ when he was 8 years old, and has the bad habit of getting himself and Goten (his best friend) into trouble...

Umigame

With a power level of 0.001, Umigame is Kame-sennin's companion throughout all the dragon ball series. He was the reason why Gokou and Kame-sennin met. He's always around Kame house swimming or doing something else.

Uranai-baba

A short, comical witch, she usually hangs out in her castle with a vampire, a mummy, and an invisible man. She is Kame-sennin's sister and has a crystal ball that allows her to view the future or view distant events in the present. She helps Gokou return for a day to the Tenkaichi Budokai that would take place on Earth in the Majin Buu saga.

Vegeta

What can I say? Vegeta is the prince of all saiya-jins. When he comes to Earth he is impressed with the strength of Gokou, so in the whole series he dedicates to try to surpass Gokou's power. His ego takes the best out of him. He can be physically beaten but NOT mentally...He's the second most powerful being in the universe after Gokou.

Vegetto

Vegetto is the result of Vegeta and Gokou fusing with the Potara ear rings. He is extremely powerful but wastes too much time with his ego. This was supposed to be a permanent fusion until Buu ate him and separated them in his stomach.

Videl

Daughter of the famous Mr. Satan and future wife of Gohan. Videl inherited the great fighting abilities of Mr. Satan and is dedicated to fight evil in Satan City. She meets Gohan on high school, later finds out Gohan's secret (Great Saiyaman) and learns how to fly/control his ki from Gohan. They get married and have a daughter named Pan.

Yajirobe

A coward and the delivery boy of the healing senzu beans, Yajirobe's best defense is his sword. Sometimes, Yajirobe saves the Z warriors in tough situations with his ability to handle his sword. He lives in Karin tower.

Yamucha

Before meeting Gokou and Bulma, Yamucha was a dessert bandit that robbed anyone who would cross his dessert. Then he joined Gokou to get rid of his fear of girls. Over the time Yamucha gets used to Bulma and get together for some time. He's always with his best friend, Puar.

Android 17

Android 17 is 18's twin brother. He is evil but fair. Later on he's absorbed by Cell and helps him reach its 2nd form (though, he didn't want). 17 even helps Piccolo fight Cell but he's overpowered. Android 17 dies along with Cell.

Android 19

One of Dr. Gero's creations. He's an energy-absorbing model based on Dr. Gero's calculations of Gokou's power increase. However, he was destroyed easily by Vegeta because he and his creator never expected the possibility of a "Super Saiya-jin".

Android 20 (Dr. Gero)

Dr. Gero on his android form. Another energy absorbing model but he's very weak. He was the commander of the Red Ribbon army and has always tries to take revenge on Gokou for the destruction of it. However, he's easily killed by one of his creations that betrayed him (A. 17).

Baata

Loyal member of the ridiculous, but powerful Ginyu Force. He's the fastest of them all and the 3rd strongest member. He was killed by Vegeta in a merciless attack.

Babidi

The son of the evil wizard Bibidi. Babidi was born with far more magical powers plus is smarter. His life ambition is to free his father's master creation: Majin Buu. Babidi is successful in resurrecting Buu. Babidi is able to control Buu for a while, but his ego became too big and it caused Buu to kill him.

Bardock

Gokou's father. Bardock was an average fighter but a great scientist. He created many things including the fake moon effect, also in one of his missions an alien gave him the power to see the future. Before Frieza killed him and destroyed Planet Vegeta, he saw that his son, Gokou, would defeat Frieza.

Cell

Dr. Gero's mastermind creation. He's a biological android made from cells of all the best fighters of the universe. He's very ambitious (like Furiza) and his hunger for power never ends. He absorbed A. 17 & 18 to reach his final form, but was killed by SSJ2 Gohan.

Dabura

The evil king of the Demon World (a shadow world below the light world). Dabura possesses incredible powers and intelligence. He becomes a slave to Babidi's magic but later is killed by Majin Buu when turned into a cookie and being eaten.

Dodoria

One of Frieza's most powerful bodyguards. Dodoria, along with Zarbon, accompanies Frieza in his reign of terror doing all his dirty work. He meets his fate in Vegeta's hands early on the Namek Saga.

King Cold

The father of Frieza. He is slightly more powerful than Frieza in its final form. King Cold is wiser than Frieza and more intelligent. However, he was no match for Mirai Trunks and gets killed by him.

Frieza

One of the most feared villains ever. Frieza built an empire of terror that spread around the universe. He was responsible for the demise of the Saiya-jin race except for Vegeta, Nappa, and Gokou. He was defeated by Gokou in planet Namek, but survives and is later killed by Trunks in early Android saga.

Garlic Jr.

Appearing as an add-on in the DBZ series, Garlic Jr. returned to get revenge on Gohan for imprisoning him in the dark zone. He's small, but possesses tremendous power. His wish of immortality was granted by the eternal dragon, but was defeated by Gohan once again and trapped in the Dead Zone for ever, now unable to die.

Ginyu

The leader of the ridiculous, but powerful Ginyu Force. He has a special technique to change bodies with other people (he did this with Goku once). Although a powerful technique, it turned out the wrong way once and ended trapped inside a frog's body for eternity.

Gerudo

The smallest, weakest member of the Ginyu Force. He is not powerful in ki, rather in magic powers. He's able to stop time by holding his breath and do things without his opponent having time to counterattack. His fate was sealed by Vegeta in Namek.

Jese

Third most powerful member of the Ginyu Force. He's more to the style of the dances than power itself, even though he's one of the smartest in the group. He is easily defeated by Vegeta.

Majin Buu

Bibidi's master creation. Majin Buu killed three kaioshins when he was first released. He's not that smart, but possesses incredible powers. He is able to turn people into food and then eat them. He also has the ability to regenerate and obtain people's techniques just by fighting them. His forms are the following: Majin Buu > Evil Buu > Super Boo > Kid Buu. (Majin Buu is the one in the picture)

Nappa

Vegeta's partner in most of his battles. Nappa is a high class warrior but too thick headed. He accompanies Vegeta to planet Earth and is easily defeated by Gokou. Then, on a merciless attack, Vegeta seals his fate for being weak.

Princess Snake

Princess Snake has been the undisputed Princess of Snake Way for over 1,500 years. Since nobody has crossed Snake Way in a long time, Princess Snake is anxious to keep a handsome man around. When she gets mad, she reveals her true form, a deadly vampire/snake creature.

Raditsu

Gokou's brother. Raditsu appears early in the series and reveals the secret of Gokou's past and his saiyan ancestors. He is evil, unlike Gokou, and very powerful. It took both combined efforts of Gokou and Piccolo to defeat him, with Gokou having to sacrifice himself to defeat him.

Rikum

Fourth most powerful member of the Ginyu Force, and the most stupid of them all. Not only is he ridiculous, but he has the brain of a 12 year old. He focuses his skills in "style". He almost kills Gohan in the Namek saga if it wasn't for Gokou's appearance. Eventually he meets his fate at the hands of Vegeta in a merciless attack.

Zarbon

Second bodyguard of Frieza along with Dodoria. He is the most powerful of the two and has a second form which transforms him into a monster. He's always caring for how he looks, showing a sign of weakness. He almost kills Vegeta but at the end, Vegeta kills him.

The Seven Dragonballs

The Dragon Balls are seven magical orbs of tremendous power. They were created by an alien named Kami from the planet Namek. They serve as a way to right injustice. Kami created the Dragon Balls on Earth. When all seven are gathered together and the correct phrase is chanted over them, they can be used to summon the Dragon Shenron, who can grant any wish within its power. "I summon the Eternal Dragon!" is the phrase to make Shenron appear. Once a wish is granted, the Dragon Balls turn to stone and scatter all over the world. They will remain Stone for one full year. If Kami were to die, then the power of the Dragon Balls would fade away.

Majin Symbol

This is the symbol worn by Majin Buu, the evil entity created by the Wizard Babidi. It is worn by Buu entity in any of its various forms, including Kid Buu, Evil Buu, and Super Buu. The sign is Located on Buu's belt. The Symbol is also worn by Babidi and anyone under Babidi's control like Dabura, the ruler of the underworld, and Vegeta. Notice the M sign on Vegeta's forehead, this is the Majin Symbol.

Kaio-sama Symbol

This is the symbol worn by all Kaio-samas. Gokou earns the right to wear the symbol only after training with North Kaio-sama in the Other World.

Kami-sama Symbol

This Symbol is worn by the great Kami of the planet Namek. It is Kami who created the seven Dragon Balls of Earth. Kami wears this symbol on Earth in his position of Guardian of the world.

Kame-sennin Symbol

This is the symbol worn by Master Roshi (Kame-sennin), an ancient and wise master of martial arts. Master Roshi is also known as the Turtle master. Gokou and Kuririn wear this symbol after training with Master Roshi in the Dragon Ball Saga.
